Salvatore A. Tiano
Sal Tiano is a Managing Director, Financial Advisor and Portfolio Manager with J.P. Morgan Securities, the wealth management division of J.P. Morgan. As head of The Tiano Group, Sal sets the tone for the team’s guiding principles: remain transparent and accessible to clients at all times and constantly operate with clients’ best interests at the forefront.
As a Portfolio Manager, Sal has the ability to act as a fiduciary, taking discretion over client assets to help ensure they remain on track within their financial plan. He is among a select group of advisors in the firm who have undergone a comprehensive screening and due diligence process to be allowed to manage discretionary client assets.1
He began his career in 1989 with Drexel Burnham and joined Bear Stearns Private Client Services (now J.P. Morgan Securities) in 1991, where he became one of the youngest Senior Managing Directors in the history of the company.
A graduate of Dartmouth College, Sal is known throughout the greater Palm Beach area for his support of various charities and community groups. He is the founder and trustee of the Jimmy Martello Foundation, a charitable organization set up in memory of a close friend who died in the World Trade Center tragedy. Sal currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Maltz Jupiter Theatre, the Palm Beach Pops and the Benjamin School. He is on the Planned Giving Council of the Place of Hope, a child welfare organization.
Sal lives in Jupiter, Florida, with his wife, Kim, and their five children. He enjoys golf, coaching and working with children.Accolades2

2The formula the FT uses to grade advisors is based on six broad factors and calculates a numeric score for each advisor. Areas of consideration include advisor assets under management, asset growth, years of experience, industry certification, FINRA compliance record, and online accessibility.
The Barron’s rankings are based on data provided by over 4,000 of the nation’s most productive advisors. Factors included in the rankings: assets under management, revenue produced for the firm, regulatory record, quality of practice and philanthropic work. Investment performance isn’t an explicit component because not all advisors have audited results and because performance figures often are influenced more by clients’ risk tolerance than by anadvisor’s investment selection abilities.
Awards or rankings are not indicative of future success or results.
