At the Zipper Group, we specialize in providing investment services for high net worth individuals, affluent families, executives and institutional clients. Our team works closely with clients to craft customized strategies to pursue their goals. Our competitive advantages stem from our extensive experience and from the breadth of the global resources at J.P. Morgan that we can leverage for our clients. Our exceptional capabilities, usually reserved for some of the world’s largest institutional investors, include in-depth access to banking products and services, research professionals and leading money managers.
Adam Zipper, Managing Director and head of the Zipper Group also provides discretionary investment advisory services through the J.P. Morgan Securities Portfolio Manager program. This program allows us to work directly with clients to assess their individual needs, time horizon and risk tolerance. Typically, the process begins with an evaluation of the client’s current financial situation along with special family or business-related considerations in order to implement the integration of the client’s investment plan.
Our Philosophy and Investment Process
Our investment process is supported by a rigorous research approach. We use both J.P. Morgan and external research sources to build a more comprehensive view of the investment landscape. We look for companies we believe possess clear and simple business models, high quality products and services, strong competitive positions, great cultures and excellent leadership.
We typically analyze the quality of a potential investment by scrutinizing financial statements and following relevant industry developments. We aim to discover changes to business trends or to identify a specific catalyst that they believe could meaningfully impact the value of the investment. Ideally, we seek to find material evidence of dislocation of the asset price relative to prevailing trends in factors that measure investor sentiment and establish a contrarian position to capitalize on this discrepancy. Portfolios are generally diversified across sectors and industries and are typically reviewed on an ongoing basis to evaluate holdings and sectors.
We represent high net worth individuals, families, foundations and a select group of institutions focusing on their exceptional needs and responsibilities. Our capabilities include a robust platform of private equity and hedge fund managers, jumbo mortgage financing, global research, access to bond and equity new issues and high quality stock execution. The deep experience and background of the group, with over 70 years of combined banking & investment experience, enables us to deliver tactical strategies to the challenging needs of our clients. Above all, our aim has and will continue to be to value the relationships with our clients.
