Gilbert F. Lemieux
Gilbert Lemieux is a Vice President and Financial Advisor with J.P. Morgan Securities, the wealth management division of J.P. Morgan. He and his team manage assets for a mix of clients including individuals, family offices and managers of investment funds. Gilbert is adept at eliciting his clients’ specific needs and wants, and tailors his services to help respond to them, carefully presenting the information they need to make educated decisions. Using an analytical approach, he assists them in identifying their tolerance for volatility, and then weighing both sides of various investment outcomes. He maintains that his style has helped him forge long-term, sustainable relationships.
Gilbert was on the debate team in school, and originally planned to study law. That plan changed, however, when he took an economics course and became enamored with the logic and numbers-based orientation of finance. It prompted him to switch his major to business economics and join the investment club, and was a catalyst for his decision to pursue a career in financial services.
Gilbert has over 5 years of industry experience, beginning with an internship during college for his current partner. He then joined J.P. Morgan’s Private Bank as a trader on the firm’s multi-asset trading desk in New York City (2008-2010), before moving to the West Coast to assume his current role in 2010.
Gilbert graduated from the College of Wooster with a B.A. in business economics. He lives in Santa Monica, enjoys running; and has travelled extensively throughout Southeast Asia, South America, and Europe. Gilbert also serves on the Associate Board of City Year Los Angeles, an organization committed to ensuring that at-risk students complete their high school education.
