Kevin Cohen is an Investment Associate with J.P. Morgan Securities, the wealth management division of J.P. Morgan. Kevin serves as the de facto chief operating officer for the Steele Group, reliably overseeing all of the group’s operational tasks with air-tight organizational skills. He monitors client activity from previous days, generates daily reports to confirm that client portfolios are in good order, and helps onboard new clients by assisting with asset transfers, deploying those assets according to accepted financial plan guidelines, and handling security transactions and electronic disbursements.
Kevin’s main objective is to support clients by eliminating their need to deal with minutiae. He is extremely client-focused and detail oriented, with an easy-going nature that belies his dedication to anticipating client needs and protecting clients from infrastructural or bureaucratic headaches. His colleagues at the Steele Group refer to him as the “connective tissue” that ties their entire team together – they say he focuses their strengths by providing support to their role while expanding his own to fill in operational gaps whenever needed.
Kevin has more than 19 years of experience in financial services. Before joining the Steele Group in 2011, he was a vice president of collateral management at Bear Stearns and a margin manager at E*Trade Financial.
When he isn’t making sure that everything at the Steele Group is running smoothly, he likes to hike and do other outdoor activities with his family. He coaches and plays basketball and baseball, and stays fit through weightlifting.
