About George Sarner

George Sarner is a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Securities, the wealth management division of J.P. Morgan. George's career is a long-standing testament to his relationship with his clients and colleagues developed over decades in the financial services industry.

He takes a consistently conservative approach to long-term investing that enables his clients to help protect their wealth while remaining poised to react to potential market opportunities as they arise. Most of George's clients, who are either in or nearing retirement, come to him through close-knit referrals. George is motivated by an unrelenting interest in the markets, the continued well-being of clients he serves, and the satisfaction that comes from helping them achieve their financial goals.

From equities and options to fixed income, George has considerable and sophisticated experience as an investment [manager, and has time-honed insight that helps him identify good money managers for his clients (many of whom he co-advises along with colleague Jim Venetos). George joined Bear Stearns, the predecessor firm to J.P. Morgan Securities, in 1976, where he was General Partner and ran the Private Client Services group until 2000 to concentrate directly on his clients. Prior to joining Bear Stearns, her was a partner at Haas Securities.

George graduated from Dartmouth College with a B.A. in Economics, after which he served as a supply officer in the U.S. Navy. In his spare time, George is a fundraiser for a variety of charitable organizations. George and his wife, Patty, have two children and five grandchildren. They live in Stamford, CT, and Stuart, FL.
