Welcome

Martin Klein is a Managing Director and Financial Advisor at J.P. Morgan Securities, the wealth management division of J.P. Morgan. Martin has over 25 years of experience advising high net worth individuals and institutions. Previously, he was a Senior Vice President with Morgan Stanley and spent over fourteen years with Prudential Securities, as a Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager.

Martin has specialized experience in national political and economic issues, and a keen understanding of how these issues may affect financial markets and ultimately client goals and objectives. This proficiency was gained in his over thirteen years experience in Washington, D.C., serving in positions with the U.S. House of Representatives, the White House and the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Martin taught Advanced Stock Analysis, Investments, Capital Markets and The Survey of Financial Planning at the University of California, Irvine for over fourteen years. He has been a guest lecturer and speaker for groups such as the University of California, Riverside, Cal State Fullerton, the LA Treasurer’s Club, AIAA (the American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics), the Junior League of Orange County, and numerous cruise lines.

In addition, he hosted the Los Angeles public television show “Small Business Views.” Martin was selected as the host based on his experience at the U.S. Small Business Administration.  In this role, Martin interviewed and delved into issues facing business owners typically in cutting edge industries. The topics varied but were primarily focused on small business concerns (such as access to capital) as well as broader topics stemming from the White House Conference on Small Business including worker’s compensation, product liability, taxes, and environmental laws for manufacturing as a few examples.  Martin understands the concerns facing small business owners and his experience allows him to customize wealth management strategies to help address the unique concerns of this segment.

Martin earned his B.S. from Hobart College in Geneva, New York. He was appointed by the Governor of California to two terms on the California State Advisory Council on Economic Development. He has served on the board of trustees of South Coast Repertory (SCR), the Children’s Bureau of Orange County, and the Newport Hills Swim Team. Martin also serves on the Board of Directors of the Pacific Club.
