Frank Villarreal is a Financial Advisor and Vice President with J.P. Morgan Securities, the wealth management division of J.P. Morgan. His two core areas of specialization are the venture capital business and wealth management. He offers a wide variety of customized services to venture capital firms: he may assist them with strategies for block sales, assemble a J.P. Morgan team to discuss a secondary offering, help limited partners sell shares they have received in a distribution, or assist their investors (i.e., institutions, individuals and family trusts) with transactions. He also works with the C-level executives and founders of companies that have been active in the M&A arena.
In the wealth management area, Frank provides comprehensive asset management strategies to help clients achieve their long-term goals. His broad client base includes retired executives and executives in the later stages of their careers, entrepreneurs, widows and clients with a broad range of investing experience. Frank's approach is to take a holistic view at each client's entire financial picture, from their insurance needs, to their investments and real estate holdings. His objective is to be a trusted, impartial advisor who is there to support and guide his clients.
Frank has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan Securities in 2009, he worked at Credit Suisse (2001–2008), and before that, at Hambrecht & Quist (1998–2001). He began working as a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch in 1993, but his first industry experience dates back to 1988, when he interned at Bear Stearns while attending college, before moving into corporate finance.
Frank received a B.A. in Finance from San Francisco State University. He is an expert skier. When he's not on the slopes, Frank, a wine enthusiast and an adept chef, spends time in wine country, learning the craft, or checking out the newest restaurants in San Francisco.
